Were Baaaack...

What a wonderful time we had in Bodega Bay. You were right Angie, that restaurant was fabulous for seafood. One night we both had the seafood cioppino, to die for. Then for lunch a couple days later we had the clam chowder and salad with shrimp. Superb! We found this old italian dinner place just outside Bodega Bay that look old and dingy and the farms all around it made the air quite pungent. Cows everywhere. We got out of the car took one whiff and looked at each other and wondered what this place would be like. We walked in, and the aroma of great wine and italian sauces hit us. We were not disappointed. The absolute best italian dinner I have ever had. And yes it was very old and gawdy looking, but what a find. Bruce and I ate till we just about burst. Our little cottage that we stayed in was very old and smelled like an old house by the ocean. I had wished I had brought my Lysol. But we opened all the windows and lit a few scented candles and it was alot better. It was clean, and the garden and hot tub were so great. We soaked and drank wine and smoked a great cigar, and watched the waves hit the beach. There was alway a surfer or two to watch also. We walked on the beach hand in hand and yes I drank in the wonderful air. It did not smell fishy at all. It was the most beautiful weather while we were there, too. I want to go back someday. Maybe more in the summer when it is warmer. Happy belated birthdays to Brian and Brandy. Hope you did something very special. We thought of you both on your days, and remembered your births. Doesn't really seem that long ago.
